We are excited to announce the arrival of a new restaurant on the Estate. Portland will be opening at 113 Great Portland Street in January 2015. Will Lander (co-owner of The Quality Chop House, Farringdon) and Daniel Morgenthau (ex-10 Greek Street, Soho) will be teaming up with head chef Merlin Labron-Johnson to create an all-day restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Portland will be offering ‘simple but refined cooking in a characterful, calming setting’. There will be an extensive wine list of 45 bottles, varying from top end to less expensive options, with London’s largest selection of ‘Fine Wine by the Glass’. The design of the restaurant will be ‘light, airy and comfortable – not minimalist’ and will feature 45 covers on the ground floor and a basement private dining room seating 14.
