After receiving planning permission from City of Westminster for a change of use to A1, A3 & A5 at 52/53 Eastcastle Street, we are delight that Thai restaurant operator Busaba Eathai has leased the ground floor and basement comprising approximately 4,100 sq ft.
Conceived by Alan Yau with the first branch opening on Soho’s Wardour Street in 1999, Busaba Eathai is a modern Thai eatery.
Busaba is a Thai flower. Eathai is a fusion of the words eat and Thai. Differing from formal dining establishments, Eathai represents a Thai casual dining venue, offering a one-course dining experience devised to feed you with minimal fuss.
Fifteen years on, Busaba still offers a much coveted, flavoursome selection of freshly prepared salads, stir fries and curries. The menu also features Asian-inspired juices and smoothies, as well as a simple yet selective wine list.
Situated in the heart of The Langham Estate, Eastcastle Street as well as Market Place is fast becoming the go to destination for local workers, shoppers and residents looking for a new food offering. With the recent arrival of Leon, Yoobi, Ethos and now Busaba Ethai “Oxford Circus” they complement other established operators, Cote, Carluccios, Market Place Bar, Coppa, Honest Burger, Yalla Yalla & Pho to name but a few, in this popular enclave just off Oxford Street.
