Cycle Surgery, part of Snow + Rock, has taken a new lease on a 3,700 sq ft shop on ground floor and basement at 42/48 Great Portland Street, London W1 from The Langham Estate, following planning permission being granted by the City of Westminster for A1 retail use.

After a comprehensive refurbishment of the shop, Cycle Surgery, who currently trade from 17 stores including 8 concession stores within existing Snow + Rock locations and at Selfridges & Co, will offer a large display of bikes from the biggest names in the industry, including Trek, Specialized, Giant and Brompton. So, whether you are commuting, on open road or getting muddy on the trails they will have the right bike for you. There will also be a vast selection of clothing, parts and accessories, for every type of cyclist, as well as a repair workshop.

In addition, they will have a running shop (trading as Runners Need) offering expert advice on purchasing running shoes, apparel and accessories. Customers will also be able make use of treadmills and running machines in the shop.

By way of background, Cycle Surgery was formed in 1992 by two mountain bike enthusiasts with a passion for delivering quality workmanship. They realised that there was a great opportunity to provide unprecedented servicing and repairs. The original workshop in Islington, which become a firm favourite with the London mountain biking and commuting community, has expanded to 9 stores across London, with Great Portland Street being its 10th opening.
